WebI just use type 312 zinc air hearing aid batteries in my SP and SPII, but they work fine. The SPs are not voltage-sensitive because they use a bridge circuit with the meter showing imbalance in the bridge, and not being driven directly from a light sensor. be sure the battery is making good contact. Use a pencil eraser to clean the contacts.
