That's why I think I need something to bond the mesh to driver. It's not the earpads it's just the way the driver is angled and also has the ANC mic bump. They became very shrill and lacked bass. And I think zeos covered this the mesh material on the OEM ear pad is much thicker then that of the hm5. I ordered a set of wicked cushions that claimed they were for the m50x and they worked much better then the hm5 in a side by side comparison.
