The Village at Squaw Valley, 4 star

   At the base of Squaw Valley USA Ski Resort, is The Village, a unique blend of modern construction with a European feel. Surrounded by more than 40 boutique shops, restaurants, and galleries, you'll find plenty to do and never have to get back into your car, which is especially nice during winter. Park in the underground structure and enjoy a true pedestrian village.

    All accommodations are a short walk to the Squaw Valley Funitel and the Cable Car of the mountain.

The Village at Squaw Valley offers condos with fully-equipped kitchens and fireplaces. You have a choice of 1, 2, or 3 bedroom units. Lodging is first class with 24-hour front desk, grocery service,exercise room, billiards lounge, movie/media room, laundry facilities and heated, complimentary underground parking.    This hotel is within 10 miles of several Tahoe-area ski areas, including Northstar, Alpine Meadows, Boreal, Lakeview, and Donner Ski Ranch. Lake Tahoe is 12 miles from the hotel.

    Best Western Truckee Tahoe Inn offers an outdoor swimming pool in a courtyard with barbecue grills. A spa tub, fitness equipment, and a sauna are also on site.

    The hotel provides a complimentary hot breakfast each morning. A café court features a fireplace, Pizza Hut Express, and beer and wine selections.

     All guestrooms at Best Western Truckee Tahoe Inn include complimentary wireless Internet access, satellite TV with HBO, pay movies, and video-game consoles (surcharge). Guestrooms also include refrigerators, microwaves, coffeemaker, hair dryers, bathrobes, and irons/ironing boards.

   Superb quality accommodation at a great price, located less than 25km from Northstar, Squaw Valley, Sugar Bowl and Alpine Meadows ski areas.

    There is a free regular shuttle to Northstar however we strongly recommend a retal car when staying here.

Rooms are a mix of queen and king suites and all feature a European bedding system with luxurious linens and individual down comforters imported from Germany, pillow top mattresses, combed Egyptian cotton robes and towels, spa bath amenities, in room safes, refrigerators, fresh ground coffee, Flat screen LCD televisions, Cable TV and Pay per view movies complimentary wireless and high speed internet with in room keyboards.

    Located on 26 acres of lakefront property in Incline Village, half way between Squaw Valley and Heavenly, the Hyatt Regency offers the feel of a classic 1920's alpine "Grand Lodge". In ski season, daily complimentary ski shuttles are available to Squaw, Alpine, North star and Diamond Peak. Amenities include 4 restaurants, 24-hour casino and live entertainment.

    The 421 guestrooms, including 24 lakeside cottages, have been decorated with natural pine, distressed wood, and leather furnishings, reflecting the setting with autumn colors of moss, brick red and wheat. Included in our Lake Tahoe resort's $60 million transformation was the addition of the Spa Terrace, a new three-story wing adjacent to the main 12-story hotel.
