In the valley of Tarantaise at the entrance of the Vanoise-National Park, 30 km from Bourg St. Maurice you'll find Val d'Isere. Formerly a small mountain village, today it is an internationally famous summer and winter holiday resort. Together with Tignes, Val d'Isere has a skiing area which is huge and varied, known as the "Espace Killy". With more than 1000 hectares of the most varied marked ski runs imaginable, and a remarkable 10,000 hectares of off-piste, much of it is easily accessible from the lift system. It’s one of the most exhilarating ski areas in the world. Indeed, it is not difficult to make out a case for Val d’Isère and its neighbour being among a handful of the world’s finest ski resorts - some would even say the finest. Yet such high quality skiing comes at a price: Val is one of the more expensive places in the Alps for a winter holiday.
Access is via motorway up to Albertville, from there on the express street RN 90 to Moutiers (60 km), Bourg St. Maurice (30 km) and on the D 902 up to Val d'Isere. Railway station: TGV up to Bourg St. Maurice, from there on bus connection or a taxi. Parking, covered or uncovered is necessary at extra charge. Free parking in La Daille.

Hotel Ormelune 3 ***
The Ormelune is located in the heart of Val d'Isère with the nursery slopes and ski lifts just 50 metres away. Completely renovated the hotel provides an excellent standard of accommodation and is a new addition to our collection this season. The hotel has been decorated in an imaginative style using vivid colours that create a warm and relaxed atmosphere whilst offering chic accommodation away from the bustle of the resort.
The new restaurant offers superb contemporary French cuisine. Both a buffet breakfast and 3-course dinners are included in our packages here.

Chalet Tutelière 3***
The Chalet Tutelière is a large traditional chalet, split into smaller units for six to ten people. Only 100m from the centre of Val d’Isère, and situated at an altitude of 1850m, you can access over 300 km of piste, plus glacier skiing on the Grande Motte, up to 3450m.
All apartments have an open fireplace and fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, oven and fridge. |
