Winter Park Resort is the closest major ski resort to Denver (1½ hours driving time) and has long boasted of a reputation as the favourite ski area in Colorado. A ski area with varied terrain, consistantly good snow, exceptional children’s and beginner facilities and moderate prices. The area also has abundant cross-country skiing opportunities, including Devil’s Thumb Ranch. In the spring and summer, Winter Park is known for mountain biking, concerts, hiking and fishing.
On August 1, 1978 the town was founded and became Winter Park. In 1980 Winter Park grew again incorporating the West Portal Village. The West Portal Village became the home of the Mary Jane Base and various other buildings at the resort such as the Iron Horse Resort.
The Village at Winter Park Resort has 30,000 square feet of new retail, restaurants, and living space and also features a new Village Cabriolet. Located at the base of Winter Park Resort, The Village connects to existing dining and shopping space and is located just steps from the slopes.
Winter Park Resort consists of four adjacent areas: Winter Park, Mary Jane, (including Parsenn Bowl), Vasquez Cirque, and Vasquez Ridge. A network of trails and chairlifts connects the four distinct mountains. Winter Park Resort is the oldest continually operated resort in Colorado.

With 110 brand new rooms, and 52 newly renovated rooms, Winter Park Mountain Lodge is the perfect home base for your winter mountain adventures especially if you are travelling on a budget. The lodge is located directly across from the Winter Park Ski Resort and features a blend of comfortable hotel rooms, and spacious mountain suites with fireplaces, kitchen facilities and Jacuzzi tubs.
An indoor swimming pool, two ten-person hot tubs, sauna, exercise facilities, in-room movies, underground parking, and the Moffat Station Restaurant and Brew Pub are all available for your enjoyment.
The hotel is located just 200m across the highway from the ski lifts, with a free shuttle also available.

Winter Park’s newest lodge is a true ski-in, ski-out property located directly at the base of the chairlift.
Each deluxe condominium in Zephyr Mountain Lodge comes with a fully equipped kitchen,gas fireplace, VCR and balcony. There are a variety of retail shops and restaurants on site along with four outdoor hot tubs, heated underground parking, daily maid service, fitness room, and laundry facilities.
One to three bedroom condo’s are available with a choice of either a mountain or valley view. All units have private deck/balcony, fire place, 24 hour front desk.
All units have 1 bathroom per bedroom.
